Graphic Control Systems, Inc. has developed a state-of-the-art Laser Intrusion Detection System. This system is currently designed for Mass Transit use but can be configured to meet any transportation requirements. Some of the highlights of our design include:
- Network-based PLCs
- Hot swap I/O modules
- Supports SCADA design if required
- Network design to support more than 10,000 IP addresses for the SCADA system
- SCADA integrates to Nice Situator matrix video switches, analog video matrix, intercom systems (digital and analog), and remote-controlled devices
- Triple redundancy power supplies for PLC CPU and network switch on the control panel
- Self-aware PLCs
- Expanded I/O capabilities
- Limitless distance constraints with fiber support
- Line supervision from laser to control panel such as breaker trip, wire break, and short-to-ground
- Power supervision
- Remote diagnostics
- Newly designed interface board to support full functionality from laser devices
- Newly designed test board for unit maintenance
- Two, three, and four scanner panels have been designed and built
The laser detection system is designed to enable the client’s maintenance staff to do any initial troubleshooting if a problem arises.
